Double Down on Service Excellence in Berks County!!
I wanted to take a moment to recognize the work of Samantha Brehm. Ms. Brehm has been working with a family for some time and the father was recently released from jail. Ms. Brehm was able to increase the amount of time she spent with the family to assist the father in obtaining a job. The father has a great deal of difficulty reading and completing job applications so Ms. Brehm spent much of her time helping complete the applications. Ms. Brehm’s hard work paid off and the father got a job! The only problem was that the father had to start the job the next day and needed a pair of...
Diligence In Dauphin
Hey Emily, [Emily Behe, Assistant Director, JW Dauphin] I just wanted to email you and let you know how very impressed I have been with Kathleen’s work on the Curtis case. This case has been an extremely messy, time consuming and emotionally draining case. Kathleen does not just put in the hours she is mandated to do, but became a genuine support to Ms. Curtis from day one. Kathleen is able to be straight forward and direct when she needs to be, as this mother needs at times, while still maintaining a very nurturing relationship. Kathleen has spent HOURS at various hospitals, court...

Fleeing domestic violence, the family had very few possessions and faced being split up if safe, permanent housing was not secured. Our goal was clear: assist the family with obtaining a fresh start. Family Resource...
Family Engagment In Wayne County
(A note of appreciation from a caseworker) Hi Renee, I know that FGDM conferences measure successes in lots of different ways, but I want to share that the Smith/Johnson conference was what I would call the perfect one. Prior to FGDM, mom was hopeless, lonely, and scared. The FGDM was a pivotal point in the life of this case and in the life of this young mother. As a result of the FGDM Conference, mom’s daily functioning and optimism has blossomed. Sandra told Jane Jones that she is thankful for family group because it showed her that her family is behind her and supportive. Until...
