Whatever It Takes in York County
Earlier this week Alyson Riedel, FRS Supervisor in York County, was contacted by York County Children and Youth requesting assistance with an emergency removal of six children from a home. Alyson and Sean Lazarus, FRS Supervisor in York County, responded to the home alongside the caseworker, her supervisor and York City Police. Alyson and Sean successfully assisted in transitioning the children from an unsafe home and transporting them to several different emergency care homes. Northumberland County Selects JusticeWorks for Truancy Remediation
Northumberland County Children and Youth Services recently asked JusticeWorks to contract for Truancy Remediation services. Jenifer Willard-Miller, Administrator of Northumberland CYS, chose JusticeWorks to implement their newly received grant. “We decided to partner with Justice Works because of the potential availability of research based programming to meet the needs of the county struggling to address truancy problems. JusticeWorks’ Adopted! Joins State-wide Adoption Network (SWAN)
In March, JusticeWorks submitted its licensing application for SWAN which has been accepted, assuring our conformance with state regulations for the administration and operations of a children and youth social services agency (3680 regs) and adoption services (3350 regs). Lisa Snyder, Director of Indiana County has been key in the development of this project. Indiana County Children and Youth Services has agreed to contract with JusticeWorks for SWAN programming. Adams County CYS Director Sue Cohick invited JusticeWorks’ Dan Heit, Dipesh Chauhan and Renee Kresge to present our services to her team and to Juvenile Probation.
