Compass Cup: A Lesson in School Pride, Teamwork, and Fun at Compass Academy!

Compass Academy Mt. Carmel made the trek to Williamsport on Thursday, December 9th to duel Compass Academy Lycoming in the Second Annual Compass Cup.  The Compass Cup is a competitive contest between the two sister schools. The Compass Cup was held at the Williamsport YMCA with three teams participating - Compass Mt. Carmel, Compass Lycoming Underdogs (grades 7-10) and Compass Lycoming Big Dawgs (grades 10-12). Compass Academy: For the Love of the Game

JWYC Compass Academy, Lycoming Branch, received an invitation to participate in some friendly competition with area high school basketball teams.  Our Compass Academy kids showed true team spirit in the season opener, playing Grace Prep.  We were two points from winning!  It was such an exciting game! Wayne County Employee Receives Recognition from Children and Youth Services

KRISTEN MCANDREW OF WAYNE COUNTY! Kristen received high praise from Wayne County Children and Youth Services during a monthly case meeting for November.  Kristen received a STOPP case, where a mom of a teenage girl had decided to give up on her daughter due to continued verbal and physical altercations.  The mother went to WCCYS with the intention to leave her daughter and forfeit parental rights.  WCCYS talked to the mother about JWYC, and subsequently submitted a STOPP referral.   The child’s mother did not expect much to change, due to the long history of the child running away from...
