Samantha Gerdeman, MS

Samantha Gerdeman is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience in Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice. With a passion for creating positive change, Sam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Administration in Human Services. She has dedicated her career to advocating for at-risk youth and improving systems of care, having worked extensively in both child welfare and juvenile justice sectors.
Sam currently serves as the North Central PA Regional Director and is also responsible for overseeing operations across the states of Colorado and Nevada. Her leadership role involves coordinating efforts that support juvenile justice programs, child welfare services, and community partnerships designed to enhance outcomes for young people in these regions.
Sam is particularly involved in several impactful initiatives, including the Family Engagement Initiative in the Central Counties, where she plays an active role in strengthening family relationships to improve youth outcomes. She also takes a leadership role in efforts aimed at reducing truancy in Schuylkill County, PA, focusing on preventing school disengagement and promoting educational success for youth.
As an advocate for juvenile justice reform, Sam has been highly engaged in the Second Chance Act, specific to our contract with Clark County, NV, which supports reentry programs tailored to juveniles. Her work in this area focuses on helping young people successfully transition back into society after involvement with the justice system.
Additionally, Sam has formed key partnerships with organizations in the Berks County community, including TLC FORE Reading PA and The Forge, to provide resources and support to at-risk youth. These collaborations contribute to Samantha’s overarching goal of improving services for youth in her region while addressing the broader issues of juvenile justice and child welfare.
With a career dedicated to advocacy, community engagement, and system improvement, Sam continues to be a driving force in shaping policies and practices that make a lasting impact on vulnerable populations.
