In July of 2012, JusticeWorks embarked on a journey to develop an evidenced based practice for Anger Management programming. Our Washington and Westmoreland County management teams linked us to the National Anger Management Association. After staff received certification from the association, JusticeWorksbegan an Anger Management committee. The curriculum was reviewed along with best practice approaches, outcome management and testing procedures. The committee came to the decision that there was a need for a measure of comprehension for the programming. Committee members, Errone Cody (Chair), Dipesh Chauhan, John Burt, Jonathan Fornal, and Luke McKetta designed and tested the comprehension exam. The exam was submitted to NAMA for approval. On April 30, 2013, the National Anger Management Association endorsed the JusticeWorks comprehension exam to be used with clients. JusticeWorks was given full privileges to use the NAMA logo on all information related to the exam.
Congratulations to Errone, Dipesh, John, Jonathan, and Luke on this great accomplishment!
