On March 8th, our President and CEO, Dan Heit and Dipesh Chauhan, Director of Business Development were invited to present JusticeWorks’ proven models of cost effective programming at the Florida Coalition for Children’s CEO Council Adequacy Model Steering Workgroup. We had a positive response from Lead Agencies across the state of Florida who saw that our proven community-based services which prevent out-of-home placements were well aligned with their goals.
Subsequent conversations have led us to partner with the extraordinary Brevard Family Partnership (Lead Agency for Brevard County). We knew we’d get along well when we discovered we shared a fundamental principle to do “Whatever It Takes” to achieve positive outcomes. We both employ that operating philosophy as a tag line and a constant encouragement to our staffs.
Starting July, 2016 Brevard Family Partnership is contracting with JusticeWorks FL to provide Reunification Services to children returning home from foster care. We have been warmly welcomed by the Brevard Team and we’re excited about this partnership.
Brevard County will be our second program in Florida. We will soon begin offering Behavioral Support Services & Family Engagement to students in alternative schools in Hillsborough School District. We are grateful to the Florida Legislature for earmarking funding through the Department of Juvenile Justice to create this watershed project.
In both new programs, we are committed to achieving positive outcomes for the children and families that we will be serving and to being a cost-effective resource for Florida.
