A client recently sent this note to our Washington County Family Resource Specialist John Burt. The client was referred following safety concerns and his acknowledgment that “everyone is afraid of me”.
John,
I just wanted to say Thanks for everything that you have done for me and my family. My life has changed so much. I wish we could have done this about 20 years ago. The skills that I have today would have helped me out in so many situations and saved many of my relationships. I feel like a new man. I know I have a long road ahead of me and it may be bumpy at times, but I know that I can make it thru anything. The fact that I can deal with stress so much better now is totally awesome. I know that no matter what life throws at me or how big of a challenge I am up against, I can deal with it and move on. My stress, anger, and anxiety levels have dropped so much because of my coping skills that you were teaching me. I keep trying out different ones to mix things up a little. Being able to relax and not worry constantly has really changed my life. If I were asked how much I felt this course was worth, I would have to say about a million bucks. Thank You So Much John, You saved my life.
