With the able assistance of Trish Hackman, University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, JusticeWorks’ hosted a four day training in January, 2009 with staff from all of our County offices. At the conclusion of the training, we are now certified to provide Family Group Decision Making. FGDM is an evidence-based practice recognized nationally as a powerful tool to assist families in building on their strengths and resolving critical issues. We anticipate incorporating this process, when appropriate, with our current cases and providing it as a stand-alone service.
